Here is a costume that we created for a Burlesque/ Comedy show opening at Harrah's in Laughlin. We created a 40's style dressing gown for her cover up. Lots and Lots of hand beading and sewing went into her bra top and bottoms.

We have been extremely busy getting ready for a shoot this month. We included our Princess Robyn in the shoot so she could show of some of the creations we have made for her over the past couple of years.

Sager/Lane Wedding

Photo Taken Just outside of the Excalibur here in Las Vegas for the Sager/Lane wedding today!

This was our first wedding with the Canterbury Wedding Chapel.

Craig Scott worked on the Pat's gown, cape and snood, while Jason worked on G.B.'s tunic, hat, and cape.

The couple has been extremely happy with the outcome.

Photo's for their wedding reception located on the Isle of Whight at Joshphine Wall's manor will follow in the next week or so. a whole other set of costumes for the couple have been constructed especially for that event re creating Josephine Wall's Painting "The Enchanted Forest".

We love making visions come to life for people. This one was more on the simplistic side but still great fun to work with the client to get exactly what she wanted.

Mandarin Oriental

Stylist Joseline Ginn recently requested a chiffon cape to be designed fort a shoot advertising Las Vegas' Mandarin Oriental.
Unfortunately you can barely see the cape or it's effects in this photo, but we just thought the look she created was amazing!

Finally Completed!
This gown was created for Fairytale Princess Parties in California.
It encompassed quite a lot.
Hand dyeing velvet, a pair of opera gloves to be the perfect match.
Wire manipulation.
So much of this dress was fly by the seat of your pants and cut into some fabric.
My favorite parts are the flower and the tiara. More on the crafts side, but the results paid off quicker.
Love the challenge!

Little Red Riding Hood

Here is the latest addition to our Theatrical Line. Little Red Riding Hood. This costume will be shot for the Store Site at the end of March.

It includes:

A Floral Mob Cap, Pattern is on an Off White Background

A matching "Peasant" Blouse, also on the Off White Background

A Full Seperate Petticoat in Off White

Burgundy Corduroy Bodice with Large silver Buttons

Burgundy Skirt with Lace and Ruffles

And of Course! A Cape as Red as Blood!

The cape has Black Velvet Piping Around a Matching Pleated Ruffle at the Hood's Opening.

The Cape Closes with a Snap Covered by a "Jet" Beaded Button.

Black Lace is Tucked and Pleated in Two of the Grow Stripes at the Bottom Hem.

Mrs. Lovett "Sweeney Todd" Act 2 Costume

This costume for Mrs. Lovett, Act 2 is still in progress. Currently embroidering the organza sleeves. Hoping to have this one completed by the beginning of next week. This piece has a lot of Victoian details. We chose to go with a more dark gothic feel with this piece. It will be ready and shot for the website by the end of March.

We will add more photo's of it's progress coming soon.

"Sweeney Todd" Mrs. Lovett

These are photo's of the wig we have designed for our upcoming shoot. This will of course go into our theatrical pages on the site. This will top off our design for Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd. For this design we have blended the feel of the Tim Burton movie with Helena Bohnam Carter and the traditional Broadway Musical style to create our own take on the look. The costume designed is for Act 2.

Rapunzel has been a great success for Fairytale Princess Parties! Here is a photo of Rapunzel out and about in California.

We are really impressed with this company. Not only does a princess show up to your event, but she comes with a whole wardrobe of costumes and dresses for your little princess and her guest. They can choose what Princess they would like to be that day!

From Rendering to Reality

Just showing the process of a drawing, concept to the finished creation. I started this design back in 1995. I finally got it on a body and shot 15 years later. I'm extremely happy with the outcome and can't wait to see what Mary RC comes up with for a background. Thanks go to both amber Nichole and Robert for making this particular design come full circle. This Dress has travelled quite a bit to get here. I remember hand sewing the jet beads to the lace in a balcony of an old theater in Maine. It was dark. I was sitting next to a good friend, Gaylord, whild she knitted. She still tells me to this day when she pulls ut that shawl she still looks for a discarded thread from this costume in her shawl.

Finally Robyn has her very own Belle! She has been waiting for this one. This really shows how we can work with two different clients, one who wanted a more elaborate Broadway style Belle, the other who requested a more innocent traditional quality for her Belle.
Soon i will also add the recent photos of the different wigs we've been styling for these Princesses as well. Alice, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid!

Here is Robyn's Alice in Wonderland Costume that she recently requested for Princess Tea Parties. It also has pantalettes done in eyelet underneath with a full petticoat.

Sleeping Princess

Working with our Princess Robyn again. She is getting closer to having a complete wardrobe of fairytale characters for her princess parties. This dress has been especially time consuming. There are over 700 pink and aurora borealis Swarovski crystals on this gown. The bodice is piped with the same fabric found in the skirt. Velvet, Jacquard, Crepe Back Satin, Shimmer Organza, and Vinyl are all included in this design.

Soon we will be doing a shoot with the costumes she has acquired from us. Keep you posted!

Rose Princess

This is a Custom Costume piece we built in the past. Along with the recent princess themed gowns posted on the blog we have decided to launch a custom order only Princess/Masquerade ball page. It will take two to three weeks to build and ship the custom orders. Designs can be your own concept or you can request a variation of a gown we have constructed in the past by selecting "custom order this piece".
Recently we have made: A "Green Fairy", also a "Fair Princess". Upcoming projects include a "Mermaid" and "Beauty".
We will keep you posted as those come together.
also we would like to mention that we will be putting up a page of Wigs and Hair pieces that will be available soon.

Now Robyn can add Tinkerbell to her ever growing list of Fairytail Characters! Ariel is next! Will keep you all posted! What Ariel look do most people remember The little Mermaid for? I have my opinion, but this has been an on going debate. Choose from the following:

We just keep broadening our reach for custom orders. Most recently we did this suit for a wedding guest. It came out beautifully. We will post photos of the finished product with the client in it as soon as they come in.

Tinkerbell

Some ingenuity required for this one and some very late nights. Pretty much a week before we were asked to come up with a Tinkerbell For our Princess party Hostess. Knowing Tinkerbell was on the horizon for Robyn, we were somewhat prepared. A four day trip in the middle of the request proved to crunch the time for us.

Some Swarovski Crystals some plumbing supplies, Some hair that happened to be lying around, some bunny tails and Payless shoes, Tinkerbell left the building at 2am on Friday night.

Just in time to get some sleep before going off to do hair and get a bride ready for her big day!

Belle coming out of retirement

After three years in a storage bin Belle will make her return in San Diego this Halloween. Happy to say I finally found the lockets that trim the bows. i will keep updates on the progress of the minor over haul. We'll hope it fits!

Robyn has always good to us here so we did this up as a special thank you. Luckily with no measurements, when she came to see our "surprise" for the first time, it fit her perfectly right down to the hem length. We had a wonderful time building this for Robyn.
